He's actually killed more than TWICE the number of people who died in 9/11. (Assuming you mean deaths in Iraq due to the war, which I'm attributing to Bush).

That's the statistic of the week. It's so sad.

I think the question is has President Bush killed more people in Iraq than Saddam and i believe the answer is no. usually dictators don't like to broadcast the number of people they have killed. Have you ever seen the video where saddam is having a party meeting and he starts calling out the names of unloyal partymembers and you watch as they are escorted out of the assembly hall to be shot. If your trying to say that Bush is worse than Saddam maybe you should really think about what Hussein has done.

By my research, more people died under Saddam's rule in Iraq than under the American occupation.

This is a difficult question to answer, as no one seems to be able to agree on how many people have died as a result of occupation, or how many were killed by Hussein's regime. However, looking at the "best-case" scenarios vs. the "worst case scenarios", it becomes much clearer that Saddam was worse.

The largest estimate of Iraqi's killed under American occupation is 250,000, as reported by Information Clearinghouse. This number comes from a joint study between John Hopkins University, Columbia University, and Al-Mustansiriya University. This is a comprehensive estimate, based on statistical analysis of birth and death patterns post-invasion.

The largest estimate of those killed under Hussein's regime is a little harder to calculate. Amnesty International estimates that about 180,000 civilians were killed during the Anfal Campaign from 1986-1989. After the 1991 Gulf War, it is estimated that Hussein's forces massacred 230,000 Kurds and Shi'ites.

Thus far, that would bring the "worst" reported death tolls to 250,000 for the American occupation, and 410,000 for Hussein.

Of course, these figures do not include for Saddam the normal, day-to-day executions and repressions that occur in totalitarian regimes. Mass graves are found all the time in Iraq, and not all are linked to the above-mentioned massacres. Nor do these numbers include innocent Iraqis killed during the Iran-Iraq War. The number for Hussein is probably much higher than 410,000.

Using more conservative estimates, the numbers still show more deaths under Hussein. The Iraq Body Count project has a high-end estimate of 45,000 civilians killed during the occupation, though this includes only reported deaths.

As for Hussein, low-end estimates of deaths from just the Anfal Campaign and the Gulf War reprisals come in at about 150,000. This is still much higher than conservative estimates of civilian occupation deaths.

No matter how you crunch the numbers (which I have sourced, unlike many others here), it is clear that many more people died under Saddam's rule than under the occupation. I don't know why people deny this simple, obvious fact. One can still validly oppose the war while recognizing that Hussein was an evil, murderous dictator.

Not even close, but it doesn't matter. Bush and the United States he represents do not intentionally target civilians. Saddam is insane and evil. And if you want a new Hitler, go east of Iraq and look at Iran's president.

Does it matter? 100 deaths or 1000 deaths? Maybe a 100,000 deaths? Well Mr. Bush_Kills_For_God, in God's eyes I would imagine it to be the same: see Rom 3:21-25, 1 John 3:4,and
Col 3:25.

Just be happy you are not a war time president. It is a heavy burden and instead of teasing evilly you should pray that the killing stop. If you really are a man of God.

Just taking into account US military that adds up to over 2,600 people. Add to this all our allies who have died, can't give you the number on that one, they don't report the number. Also add to this the Iraqi police, don't hear about those either. Don't forget about the civilians, which include men, women, and worst of all children. Last reported to be over 60,000, over 7,000 in the last two months. Bush is in the lead, and the war not over. Numbers go up every day.
Take into account the number of guys that died from "friendly fire" they aren't tallied with the ones that died in hand to hand cambat. Let's also remember our people who lived but have been shipped out because of injuries. Many of them will never be able to return to military service, and not be able to live a normal civilian life either.

No. I wish though. Gosh...Bush is such a good person. He makes me really mad. I wish he would do something wrong so us democrats would have something to say that was really true about him. Right now all we do is repeat the liberal media bs which we all know isnt true. Its just because we hate him so much because he is soooooo much better than our boy clinton. Right now all we can do is laugh at his grammatical mistakes. Man, makes me kind of wish I was on their side. I'm kind of getting tired of always being the hater and being wrong and having to change facts and lie just to make my point. I might just admit I have been wrong and join them. Seems like it would be "refreshing" almost. Thinking about being honest almost makes me giggle. Dang.
