Whenever I ask for any help, I always get, "sorry, can't help you." The responder hasn't taken one second of offer to try. I have trouble learning how to follow instructions and I'm told if I really wanted to, I can figure it out on my own. If that were true, I wouldn't be asking. I'm not necessarily talking about people here. People in general, in my physical presence.

Right now, I'm trying to figure out how to cut out a photo subject and add it to a different background without having to go into Paint and trace around my pic. with ripples. I bought Adobe Photoshop, but it doesn't make any sense to me.

People that say "sorry, can't help you" just do that to get the 2 points for answering a question. It pisses me off, too. What are you trying to do with your image if I understand correctly is you want to take on thing and paste it on top of the other? You have to go into photoshop to do that. If you have never used photoshop, I hope you got Photoshop Elements. Its a simpler, teaching version that will work just fine for a beginner. Photoshop "professional" is just too complicated. I hope I answered your question.

I pulled a little hair out trying to use photoshop. The remaining hair turned grey.

I too shake my head at the 'you can figure it out on your own'.

Photoshop can do so much that to learn it would be a class in itself. Now that I am answering this your second info. is missing, however, I think you where trying to get a part of a picture from another. In Photoshop, use the magnetic lasso (my favorite) it will remove the part you put it around. Beyond that ??? what do you want to do with the part you take off?
