Yes, people with lighter colored eyes tend to get macular degeneration as they age, earlier than those compared with darker colored eyes, as studies show. It is my opinion that peoples with darker colored eyes are typically from sunnier climates, and over the generations, their eyes have adapted to harsher exercise, treatment and demand of the eyes to perform, which is why I think this fact is true. Sort of like writers develop callouses on their fingers where the pen/pencil rubs (you get the idea)-or the muscle used is the muscle strengthened, the body adapts, over time.

Yes. My eyes are blue, and in bright sunlight my irises lack sufficint melanin to fully block the light when they contract. Everything gets hazy unless I block the sun with a hand or hat edge. That's why I prefer brown or bronzed sunglasses, especially while driving.

I do not believe so. Each eye measurement, color, and form can have perfect vision or awful vision. There are folks blind as bats and with eyes and satisfactory as cats' eyes which can be small, significant, round, oval, almond, brown, gray, hazel, blue, and inexperienced.

Of course not.

We "see" only the light reflected on the objects.
