no it means someone or something woke the owl up and scared it out of its daytime sleep. there is no such thing as a meaning to animal happenings other than what has happened to the animal, i saw a crow fly after dark tonight,,,,,,,,,, what did that mean? It means that some other creature disturbed its resting place.

Imagine how short the world would be of orinthologist - bird watchers etc if this were true.
Seeing an owl in the daytime means you are indeed a very observant individual - a thing to celebrate.
The only bad thing which will happen is the owl flunks Owlogy 102 and probably has a short life span ahead since it can't stay hidden.

It is abolutely not true that owls are anything but brilliant and mysterious creatures! Owls are companions of Minerva, the goddess of deep and fascinating wisdom. It's only the hyperreligious bad press of the Dark Ages that gave owls a tarnished reputation.

If you're lucky enough to see an owl, night or day, admire and delight in it. Owls are messengers from the intriguing dream world to our precious Earth. I recommend hugging yourself in glee when you see an owl.

You might want to especially keep track of your dreams for a few mornings after the special good fortune of seeing an owl.

That statement may well be true from a unique perspective, ie i see an owl at 3 pm on thursday, then 500 miles away a train crashes...

However in the personal sense it is complete and utter bollocks

An emphatic 'yes'

Unfortunitely, something bad is bound to happen whether you see an owl - day or night - anyway.

So, the owl-sighting will have had nothing to do with the malevolence. And it won't happen to you, anyway. You're too nice a person, right?

I think the bad thing would be for the owl since its a nocturnal creature.

I've often heard that owls hooting or screeching at certain times or ominous moments at night could be taken as bad omen.

Yeah, it's pretty much over once you see the owl in the daytime. Can I have your car? You won't be needing it.

If your supersticious...

But the world isnt as simple as 'something bad will happen if you see an owl in the day'

If it was true and they broadcasted an owl on TV flying in the day to the whole world, i wonder what would happen? lol

Definitely yes. Absolutely. Something bad will eventually happen, no matter whether you see an owl or not.

It depends on Person's Belief...

If u r believer of all these, and if u c owl in mornin then wat ever wrong u do that day,u think owl is the reason , even if u get head ache u will blame that same owl...

If u dont believe all these, then if even ur car got accident u dont blame owl other than urself...

i wil tel u one thin, U take indian ,specially South indian Superstitious beliefs:

Cat Shouldnt cross across u, u wen u leave the house.(think if it happens in U.S?no one can go out) if it crosses then that person wil go inside the room and drink glass of water and take few minutes rest and then he go out again..

Widow shouldnt cross across wen som1 go out , it she goes then it seems the mans work wil not be success.??

If i say all belief there this page wont be enough...

All these are true happenin even now ....

So it depends on people's mind who takes it...
