I've always wanted to have a dream where I knew I was dreaming so I could do whatever I wanted in it. It hasnt happened yet.

The closest I have come to was thinking about something right before I sleep and then dreaming about it. One time I thought about this boy I liked right before I went to sleep and I had a dream about him. Another time I thought about wanting to go to Yankee Stadium and Jason Giami (Why him and not like Jeter perhaps haha) ended up giving me tickets behind the dugout in my dreams.

steelypen- I know what you're talking about! One time my mom woke me up from this great dream, and I was so mad when she woke me up that I tried to go back to sleep to keep dreaming about it and it worked.

It's called "lucid dreaming"
Yes I have.
You can induce lucid dreaming sometimes by thinking about a subject just before falling asleep

Yes I have dreams where I know I am dreaming and I can stop it and replay it the way I wanted to kind of like a day dream. Happens a lot. I had a dream a few nights a go that was pretty cool but it took me a few minutes to understand what it was about when I woke up. I dreamed a bear was growling outside my window by my feed while I was asleep. I dreamed that I looked out there and seen him and closed the window and went through the whole house closing the windows. And then went back to bed and the bear started pushing the curtins to the side. Kind of spooked me so I woke up that time and heard my girl friend snoring. Lol it was funny because I could not get rid of the bear in my dream and woke up and noticed there really was something growling in the bed with me lol ....
But normally I can change my dreams but I am not able to pick what it is I am dreaming about.. Only change things in them.

It's happened to me a few times. It's really bazaar. I remember dreaming about trying to wake up from a dream. In that dream, I "woke up" within the same dream a few times in a row.
One morning win I woke up, it appeared to me that I was laying on the couch in the living room. Everything around me looked like that of my living room. The image slowly dissolved into where I actually was, in my bedroom.
Both of these occurred about three years ago.

Yes I do it all the time. I usually wake up shortly afterwards, but sometimes I stay in the dream longer. It's weird because you can make yourself wake up but you can't make yourself stay asleep, in fact trying to stay asleep has an opposite effect. There is a term for this, or something like it, called "Lucid Dreaming." You should check out http://www.dreamviews.com.

Oh, yes. These are some of the best dreams. The only thing better is when you wake up, and go back in, like waking up was just pressing 'pause'!!!

Yeah, I love those kinds of dreams. They usually only happen about once a week, but they are really fun to have because you can control what you are doing in your dream :) It sucks if they are nightmares though. haha

Yes, I do all time. Dreaming is my "mental vacation". Usually they are much better then my "real vacations". I can go anywhere with anyone I wish and do whatever I want.
