i had the same problem, and the 'spam filters' never helped because they'd miss spam or filter out stuff from my friends. here's what i suggest: open a new e-mail account. give your new e-mail address ONLY TO PEOPLE THAT YOU KNOW PERSONALLY, i.e. your friends and coworkers. then, every time you sign up for any kind of website that asks for you to register w/ an e-mail address, use your OLD e-mail address. these sites are the ones that sell your addy to advertisers. so never, ever, ever enter your new, 'personal' e-mail address into an online form. ever ever ever.

You can't resolve this problem for good. Spammers collect the addresses from web pages, public forums, etc.
Use the 'Report spam' buttons assiduously and it it doesn't help change your e-mail address. An advice: if you give your e-mail address do not use the AT character (@) use its textual match instead, for example, myaccount _at_ server _dot_ com.

Mark them as Spam and they go to Bulk. Then just click "Empty" beside Bulk on the left when you first log in. Keep addresses current in your address box so mail you want not go to Bulk.

Please follow this path. Go to ur email page> options> spam protection> click the first circle which says Immediately delete messages> save. Ur bulk folder will always remain empty. It will solve ur problem.
