In Pokemon Mystery Dungeon, I need pointers on recruiting more pokemon. Can I recruit more pokemon if my team is already packed with 4 members? How can I improve the odds of obtaining pokemon? Anything at all would be helpful :)

well, the game already explains that you need their friend area first.

you can't get a plusle if you don't have the thunder plains area.
---------
you can never have more than four pokemon in your group. it's easier to tell this on the DS, because the top screen, in a dungeon, will show enough room for four pokemon

also, you can never bring more than 1 recruit into a dungeon. you can never go INTO a dungeon with four pokemon in your party. you must recruit to get a fourth.

also, your group size can never exceed 6 stars worth. most characters, if you go to team->pokemon->summary will show a star size of 1 star. some, like mantine, take up two stars, and some take up four stars, like wailord. so if you have your main character, your partner, and a mantine, you can never recruit a wailord, as that would bring your party size to 8 stars

to make it easier to obtain a pokemon, you just need to be higher level than it. you'll never recruit a higher level pokemon. also, i think it's where you get ho-oh (i haven't gotten this far yet...) there is a ribbon that increases recruiting chance by 50%

i am a completist, so i'm trying to get as many as i can the first time around... but it will be so much easier to do so after i beat the storyline, because of my level
