You should research these peograms for yourself. What is right for one person may not be right for you! However, I do know of one off the top of my head, because I attend the school, but The University of Montana has a wonderful journalism program. You have to apply to the college as a pre-journalism major, and then apply to the journalism school at the end of your sophomore year. It is a beautiful school. If you're really interested, I would suggest checking it out. I did, and I'm out here from California. I never thought I'd be all the way out here for college! Good luck in your search!

Trust me when I say, don't pick a college based solely on your anticipated major. More likely than not, you will change your major at least once. Ask people that you know who went to college. I will guarantee that the majority of them did so and/or aren't employed in the field that they received their degree. The most important thing is that you go to a school that you like and will be motivated to the make the most out of your experience (which includes studying, work experiences and social interactions).
Geography has so much to do with where you choose to go to school, as well. Do you want to stay near your family or go far away? Do you want to be in a major city or in a suburb? The major magazines rank schools yearly and segregate by multiple factors. Check out the most recent publication. Perhaps you can gain some further insight. Good luck.

Boston University and University of Maryland College Park both have excellent journalism programs.
Boston University has a College of General Studies program where you can spend the first 2 years working on the spelling - but you'll be fine....

Journalism is probably one of the toughest fields to get itno because of the high competition in the industry. If you want to be competitive, you'll need to attend a very good university and complete a heavy program. Please give me more information about what grades and what area you want to study in so I can give you my best advice.
