I struggled with acne for years and I finally found the solution that works for me. We have been fooled, tricked, deceived, and just plain lied to. It's time that someone put a stop to it, and everyone learn the truth!

Those of us who suffer from acne have usually been given 2 choices and neither of them work:

1. Over the counter remedies such as cleansers, creams, ointments, etc. These things have been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

2. Go see a doctor and or dermatologist. They will generally prescribe prescription drugs which include topicals and or antibiotics. This, too, has been proven over and over again not to work. Why? It does not address the root cause of the problem.

I found a step-by-step program that cured my acne and it has never come back. It is amazing and doesn’t use any drugs or doctors. The truth is that acne can be cured…if we know the secret the doctors and drug companies don’t want us to know.

There is a great website: http://cure-my-acne.info/3daycure/ that has all the details. I really suggest you check it out and see if it works as well for you as it did for me.

Go to www.acne.org they have some good suggestions. However, it also depends on the type of acne you have.

It maybe a good idea go to a dermatologist. Additionally, I used Proactive for about 1year with wonderful results but then after that I started to get terrible uncontrollable breakouts and ended up going to the dermatologist he gave me Retin-A (the generic version) it is the best treatment I have had and the prescription only cost me $20 Canadian (can't beat that)!

well, it actually depends on the type of acne u have. if u have acne that pops up once in a while try over the counter products like neutrogena, clear and clear. but if those dont work, proactiv is the best that I have tried. I dont have lot of acne, just once in a while, so I use proactiv in the morning or night and use my regular facewash/toner/mositurizer in the night or vice versa. That way, my face isnt too dry due to the benzoyl peroxide in proactiv that is needed for intense acne.

That depends... If it's hormonal caused, topicals don't work, and the pills cost a crapload... Almost all topicals for non-hormone caused acne are just about the same as far as the brands go... I don't believe that there's a better one, because none of them worked for me in the end, as benzoyl peroxide and salysitic acid just burn and dry out your skin, and do not stop the main cause of acne (it isn't caused by bacteria. atleast not when you've tried ten different OTC meds)... If they don't work, do stop using them though. It only damages your skin, and obviously isn't curing hormone problems/sensitivity...

I have never had a problem with acne but my friend did and believe me when I say she tried EVERYTHING and the only thing that worked was proactive!
Try it cause I think it has a money back guarantee.

we've been having some success with tea tree oil, which comes in a cream or oil mixture. dab a little on the affected areas of a clean face a couple of times a day. it's even helped alleviate the redness we sometimes get after a pimple is "done."

Acne

A nutrient-rich, balanced daily diet is key to building and maintaining healthy skin. A diet rich in foods containing beta-carotene, Vitamin C, and vitamin B6 is vital for a clear, glowing complexion. In general, a daily diet that provides 5 or more servings of fresh vegetables and fruits (including at least one citrus) will provide healthy amounts of skin-improving vitamins. Flaxseed oil and other foods high in omega-3 fatty acids should also be heartily consumed because of their role in skin health. Eating zinc-rich foods along with essential fatty acids may be beneficial. Liver-strengthening nutrients are recommended to improve acne and include Protein from plant sources, as well as fresh fruits and vegetables. Because acne seems to be associated with Western diets, many experts advise acne sufferers to consume a diet high in fiber and low in Fat and refined carbohydrates.

Proactive works really well. Also you might want to try that and Clearasil-although it might dry your skin a bit so use a moisturizer in the mornings.
