I want to have a theme party for my 18th birthday. Any Ideas on what theme to use?

Karaoke parties are usually a hit.
If you want to expand the theme, have people dress as a favorite singer.
You can hang old cd's on ribbon from the ceiling and have a disco light that reflects off them.

THAT RIGHT THERE SAYS TO ME YOUR A PERSON WITH ALOT OF CLASS.. IM 43, AND ASKED PPL TO GIVE ME ON A SHEET OF PAPER, TO SERIOUSLY THINK TO THEMSELVES , IF THEY HAD TO DESCRIBE ME AS AN INDIVIDUAL, (all around), with three adjectives or in general. NOT AS A JOKE, what would your answers be. i asked about 2 weeks ahead of time. so they (I MEAN EVERYBODY NOT JUST FRIENDS) BEST BIRTHDAY EVER. (tell them to come dressed as their description of you). give it a try. youve got to be a person with a good sense of humor though. but remember they lpve you. your 18 though, you may get some real bitlllllllllllllllll, be preparted. youll fiend out who your real friends are. if you do it, be objective, and play it safe. YOU HAVE A LONG WAY TO GO IN LIFE, IF YOU USE THIS IDEA, HAVE FUN WITH IT,. ALTHOUGH JUST CURIOUS WHY A THEME. AND WHY ARE YOU THROWING THE PARTY. My friends and I have done a few theme parties, I think they are a lot of fun!!!! Here are some that we've had.
Beach Party
PJ Party
Pimps & Hos
Theme Toga--this one was great because everyone had to have a theme to their toga... cowboy toga, corporate toga, tourist toga.. you get idea the crazier the better, the only requirement was that you had to incorporate some type of toga in your outfit.

hawiian luau - everyone dresses up in something hawiian, decorae with palm trees, etc, have a limbo contest, hula, hawiian or other foods like that(pinapple, fruit kabobs, etc.
