They are required by protocol to assess vitals a certain amount of times depending on your diagnosis and reaction to present treatment. Its not meant to annoy you, though I do understand your aggravation.

I dont know, Ive never had a problem sleeping in the hospital. In fact, I sleep better in the hospital than I do at home...but thats probablyt because I'm so used to it.

I talked to a Doc today who just spent the night at the hospital for a sleep study! They were as cranky as Godzilla. They heard every fart and sneeze on all six stories of the facility. I really had a good laugh.

Sometimes they have to take tests to make sure you are OK, I know it seems rude, but you are being monitored every second, and they try to get as much info as possible when the people they need are there (ekg specialists), Plebotomists etc...and sometimes their schedulles don't mix with the patient, like anyting, the squeaky wheel gets the oil, if you let them know you want quiet time for a certain span of time they will give it to you, just tell them you are getting fatigued, they might still want to do vitals but they will limit unnecesary things, you have the right to speak up!

I know! They wake you every five seconds to take your blood pressure and temp and wake you early in the morning to give you your meds. The tea trolley comes around at five am and breakfast at six. So annoying.

hospitals and doctors and drug companies don't make money if you are well. they make money when you are sick. do you really think these people actually want you to get well? ever notice that the more prescriptions someone is taking, the sicker they are?

Yeah ! They even wake you up at 23:00 and give you a sleeping pill....

because hons we are not runing a holiday iin here, we are out too make you as miserble as all hell, collect your fat cash and our visa cards and you are out the door!! we love too haunt you at 3 in the morning biring in the fattest old hags, for nursess, and at 3 in the morning how can anyone, possible, sllepp with thse fat old hags wandering around hons?/ the matressees we especially orfer for you straight out the army surpluss and charge you for them in our bills hons, like we say we want your money but you are not gona lay around here in comfort!!

Well if you the sickness you have cause you to die in your sleep and you are not hook up to a machine. It is just one of the steps of montoring patients.
