I think the person who said chow mein was just leftovers was referring to chop suey, something that is rarely found on any decent Chinese restaurant menu. Chow mein is Chinese generic term for stir fried noodles. Myself, I go to Tsing Tao on Clement and 32nd ave, the best Chinese food in the city and if you have to ask what city, then you must not have been paying attention when you came to this category.

Chow Mein is not Chinese food. It is a creation by Chinese in America to use up their kitchen leftovers and then sold to stupid diners.
