Roger Federer is DEFINITELY the best tennis player the world has ever seen. In fact, his record clearly indicates that he's very close to surpassing nearly all existing tennis records.

I predict that within the next 10 years, while Roger is 36 years old and still competing fiercely, he'll shatter ALL existing records and create some new ones as well.

Without a doubt, Roger Federer is the both the smoothest and most complete tennis player the world has ever seen. And, although he's definitely got the best technique on the Pro Tour, he's still continuously working on improving it.

What sets Roger apart from all other players, besides his God-given natural physical talents, is his devotion to improving his technique as well as his continuous effort to improve his WEAKNESSES as well as his strengths.

All tennis players in the world would do well to copy this winning formula.

I don't know if Roger has a weakness, and he is an amazing player. Good sportsmanship too.

That said, I don't understand his success at Wimbledon. He doesn't serve and volley, and traditionally those types of players (Becker, Ivanisevic, Sampras, Edberg, McEnroe) have been the type to dominate. It leads me to the conclusion that while Federer might be as good as everyone says he is, he might also be great because there aren't as many talented players near the top of the men's game right now.

Not yet. Hes getting there though. Hes unbeatable in an important tournament thats not played on a clay. His weakness is clay if he has one. The player needs to be lucky as hell, play his best and hope federer has an off day.. Thats all.

I think he is the best I have now seen and I have been watching since I was a kid. trust me I always wanted Pete to be the best, so I am biased and I still think on certain days He could serve to way to victory, but Federer is just awesome. The guy loves a challenge , I have never seen Roddick play better and Federer just wore him down. So I am leaning towards Federer.

Roger Federer is not yet the best player ever.He still has one weakness and that is overcoming Rafael Nadal on clay.Federer best weapon is that he is always calm. His weakness is that he cant get aggresive, but against players like Nadal you have to get aggresive sometimes to win.

In order to become great, you need someone to push you to you furthermost limits. And, Federer has yet to be challenged by anyone who could do that.

Muhammad Ali was a prime example of greatness because he was pushed by many, Joe Frazier being one. If Federer is to ever be regarded as being great, someone has to seriously challenge Federer and give Federer his due in Tennis.

Don't follow tennis very closely, but I know Federer is very dominant right now. However, the most dominant tennis player, and also the most revolutionary, was Martina Navratilova. She brought strength training and athleticism into tennis. Before her, it was all about shot placement and spin, and she got people, in both men and women's tennis, to focus on power and speed.

Not yet, he will be next year...haha

He's the tennis king right now though. He's even got Tiger Woods cheering for him instead of Andy Roddick. People at the top of their games recognize each other.

If he continues the way he rolls through th majors......he might be the greatest.....right now, I like too many others. In terms of weaknesses....wow, I am not so sure there is a major flaw in his game.
