I think i am really over weight... i mean is 5.0 feet and 120 pounds!!!, and i'm only 12

yeah mabey just a little... but! you can do something to change this! follow these tips.

1. don't eat a lot of junk food like. chips, cookies, ice cream, ect. eat heathy snacks like..... celerie with cream cheese or penutbutter and rasins, yogurt, any fruit, fruit salad, salad with olive oil and balsamic viniger, ect. there is a lot of great foods out there that are healthy and yummy at the same time! go to www.foodnetwork.com and check out healthy foods and snacks!and remember do not eat a lot of sugary foods!~

2. exersice! insted of watching tv till the cows come home get out there and play a sport with some friends! join a sports team and and have fun with it! jog for a half an hour each day. go up the stairs 25 times.ridding horses,swimming,roaller blading,bike
ridding, going to the park and just climbing the bars, everything!

if you do all this then you will be very healthy! but don't go over board with lossing weight. don't be come worried time about little things. just have fun, get active, and eat healthy! and you will loose weight!

No, it is not overweight or fat. Some of the BMI calculators say because you are only 12, your BMI should not be more than about 22, because there is a risk that as you continue to grow, you could become overweight. But if you stay as you are, eat healthily and exercise regularly, you should have no worries at all. Take care : )

This question would be better asked of YOUR DOCTOR, sweetheart. Nobody here knows you, nobody here can see you, and nobody here knows anything about your medical history. It sounds like you probably carry some extra weight, yes, but no one here is able to know what would be a good healthcare strategy for you. And don't try any diets without asking your doctor, either! That's dangerous.

You are fine. Quit worrying about your weight. At your age, weight should be the last thing on your mind. Eat your ice cream, ride your bike, talk to your friends, and just have fun being young. As long as you are having fun doing what 12 year olds do, you'll be fine.

It depends on your build when i was 12 i was 84 lbs maybe you could lose a bit of weight it would be better for you in the long run

Actually i looked up a chart and you are only a ridiculously small number overwieght. Lose too much and you will look anorexic. In short, dont try to change yourself, right now you are good.

I on the other hand am off the charts *LOL*
5'5 170lbs BEAT THAT!

Yes sadly you are overweight. Go on a diet. I'm not trying to be mean, but because of kids like you the schools have to feed everyone else lowfat food. You should try cutting down on junk food and calories and exercise, exercise, exercise!! But remember you need more than a scale! People overweight for their height can have major differances in body composition( the amount of muscle, bone, and fat they have) An athelet might be overweight because of extra muscle. While a less fit person of the same height and weight might have less muscle but be overweght because too much body fat.

you are at a very healthy weight. Don't listen to the morons on here who would say otherwise. Muscle weighs more than fat. at your age you are lean. Don't let any one one here demean you.
]You are already thin so stop looking at those skinny girls in the magazines and the tabloids, that look like crack head and AIDS victims, you don't want to look like that. One of the first things to go on girls who abuse their bodies like that is their teeth, women in the tabloids have the hundreds of thousands of dollars it takes to hide or replace what they have ruined, the average teen, and her parents doesn't. Take care of your self and be proud of who you are.

dont worry.. you still have more time to get a li'l slimmer.. hey Ive had that problem too. for a 5" girl u need 100-105 lbs. you just need to be determined to get slimmer... But u know, some girls actually look cute when they are chubby... (ee,)
