Is there a pro bono attorney in Chicago or nationally that handles immigration issues? I have an international student who was unable to pay his tuition, has been kicked out of college and by DHS rules should leave the country in 15 days. Wondering whether he can have extension/extra timeso that he can arrange for airfare etc

I know of a few places like that in Minnesota, unfortunately they don't have any links to Chicago organizations. I am sure you can find someone to help. A good start is contacting the Chicago Bar Association. Here's a link to get you started:

I'm not quite sure but you can try Ernest N. Powell Law Office 773 224 5600, if he doesn't then he'll know who can help you, he's been a lawyer for 40 years.
