I grew up in a house with a friendly ghost, unless she was upset with something. We would see things lift up from the floor and set back down, we would see dishes fly across the kitchen and no one was out there. When I was younger and would have a nightmare, I would feel a comforting hand on my shoulder, but yet everyone was in their own bed.
We would hear someone going up and down our stairs even tho there was no one there.
Once, my dad was in bed and he came down the stairs asking my mom why she was crying, but my mom wasn't crying, it turned out that the crying was down in the basement, although there was no one down there.

No its just garb? Are you just wanting everyone to tell you ghost stories ? When I was 15 and my brother was 17 we lived in a2story house and every night at exactly 2am something would wake us up walking in a room upstairs none of us slept in the room it was empty we all slept down stairs. Now my brother wasn't scared of nothing but his curiosity (curiosity killed the cat is a old saying my grandmother use to say it) just got the best of him so he took a blanket and decided he would sleep up there one night (because he had already checked it out during the daytime (found nothing inside or out)., that night around 2am he came running down stairs hollowing lets get out of here .He never stepped foot back in that house ,well we found another house and as we were moving 2 of the neighbors on the street came up and ask quietly, Did you see or hear anything in this house They said that nobody had ever stayed in the house over a week and they would move out ,well after a little researching my brother found out that a whole family was murdered in that very room 23yrs ago at 2 am in the morning,I ask my brother what did he see and he wouldn't talk about it. Finally he told me many yrs later that he saw a shadow of a man walking toward him and he could hear the footsteps well whether you believe me or not this was our ghost story.(This really did happen to my family)

I dont know if it was a ghost but it scared the hell out of me. I was wide awake reading at my auntie's house, when suddenly in my left ear I hear as if someone was next to me and had just exhaled or breath whatever...it wasnt to loud so I kind of ignored it and continued my reading. After about 10 seconds later I hear a very clear and loud exhale in my ear. It made me run away from that room in a heart beat. It was so weird because I was very awake and the lights of my room were on.., but the next day I noticed that in that wall in the left, is were are hanging some portraits of my late great grand parents and other family members you have passed away.
That made me feel a little bit better..I guess?

I do not believe in ghosts. I have a good brain trauma induced halucination story. I was in a car accident, the person behind the wheel did not know which way they were going and we ended up in the ditch. My head slapped against the side window in the ordeal. That night before I went to sleep I saw this light in the next room. It appeared, then it got bigger and bigger, and then it disappeared. What do you think, supernatural beings or brain trauma. I would like to think that I was contacted by a "being", but it was probably brain trauma.

I somewhat believe in existance of spirits. I have seen a person changing to other person(dead) and speaking like him. And I have heard several stories like this. I heard psychology got some reason for this.
In my country it is said, when a person dies with strong love or hatred for someone his spirits stay for some time on earth. These spirits usuallly enter some living person and trouble him for some time and leave. However there is solution for ever problem, so you have people who drive away the spirits.

It depends on your definition of 'ghost'. There are still ignorant and deluded people who think it means dead people floating around. Go figure.
