Sure, anything happens eventually. :) If the Cubs record is any indication of what's possible, give 'em a few years.... or decades.... depending on who they wind up with for future coaches and rookies. :)

I'm sure they'll win another one, or two, or 21........but what I don't understand is why everyone is complaining about the Yankees not winning the series. The Yankees win the AL East every year, so their season is AUTOMATICALLY that much longer than the 22 teams who don't make it to the playoffs. If all the spoiled Yankee fans out there will please realize that the fact that you've won so many up until now does not entitle you to win more, nor does the fact that your owner is spending more on ballplayers than 99 percent of fans will make in their entire lives......So please take into account that you aren't even out of the running for THIS YEAR'S SERIES, like so many teams, and their ever faithful fans.......take the silver spoon from your mouth, and do the world a favor by never opening it again.

Considering how most people always try to count them out and they always come back for the playoffs I would say this is their year.
They didn't need their so called veterans. They did just fine without Sheffield and Matsui.Who knew the pitcher would wind up being so awesome?Everyone said we got a loser.
GO YANKEES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

In the rest of the future maybe but not this year. Choking is getting common for the Yankees.

Are you kidding? Have you seen their lineup lately? I'll be surprised if they lose more than 1 game in any series of the playoffs this year. This year is a lock.

Yes.....the Yanks will win again.......just not this year. Best teams are out of the AL Central...Tigers and Twins. Even the ChiSox are decent. But overall, I am thinking Detroit.
