Take the pt test back, and ask for a refund. I mean, its not like you need it anymore. And if you bought it from walmart, I bet they will take it back.
The big point here is, if your with child or not. At least your going to get 10 bucks.

Take another pregnancy test. If you can afford it, take one every day till you feel confident that you aren't pregnant. If not, take one every 3 days or so. It could be that your count is just off, that you are just having a weird period from stress or illness. A negative test does not mean you are not pregnant, so be careful about alcohol, medications, etc.

wait 3 days see if your period comes and take another test or go to the doctor and take a test there

There can be a lot of reason's why it is late. Stress is a BIG factor. Weather at work or at home. Relax, take a pregnancy test and things will even out.

If there's a chance you could be pg & you used a cheap store brand test get a name brand test. Or, there are probably clinics in your area that would test you for free.
If you don't really think you're pg then you might want to see a doctor to see if something is wrong.

Your body may not have produced enough of the hormone the pregnacy test looks for. Every 2 days your body produces more. Give it a few more days and try again, if your still not sure call your primary caregiver.

take another test in a few days do it first thing in the morning you hormone level is higher then. if its still neg go see your doctor for a blood test.

some tests dont work until its almost time for your next period wait a week or two then take another one

You need to go see your gynecologist and let him or her doing a pregnancy test. Sometimes home test can't detect that you are pregnant.
