Go to the doctor. Seriously! If you don't stop it now, you could start urinating pure blood. It gets miserable very quickly, trust me, I know from experience! They'll give you a perscription for sulfameth or something of the like. There's no home cure!
As other people said though, cranberry juice does help fight infection but it will not make you feel more comfortable and will not solve the problem if you truly have an infection.
Take care!!

Disclaimer: only medical doctors can advise you, and I am not a doctor. However, I have heard cranberry juice is an excellent home remedy. Also Parsley can help. I would suggest eating a can of whole cranberry as well as dring some juice because the juice is usually just a small percentage of cranberry. It's almost impossible to find even 50% real cranberry juice. Also: Home treatment includes drinking a lot of water and fluids and urinating frequently, emptying your bladder each time. Additional testing is not necessary if your symptoms improve. Check out www.webmd.com and use their system checker. You may have something else and remember, this is still going to take a couple of days at least to clear up. I would recommend an OTC pain reliever such as Tylenol PM so you can have some pain relief as well as to help you sleep. Good luck and I hope you feel better!

Use some OTC Uristat right now for the pain but you have to go to the doctor to get an antibiotic for it to be cured. The doctor will do a urinalysis to make sure that an infection is really the cause of your pain. It is critical that you have a doctor treat a bladder infection because it could ultimately damage your kidneys.

You can go to the store and but a medication they have over the counter I can't remember the name but it will say for bladder infections. That will take most of the pain away but will not cure it. You have no choice but to see a Dr for antibiotics. It may not seem to serious but it WILL lead to a severe kidney infection if you don't seek medical help. After that you may end up in the ER when your kidneys shut down. Please go to the Doctor! If you don't have money to go to a community clinic. You will be seen on a sliding scale and be able to make very small payments.Good luck!

Wal-mart sells an over the counter product named AZO. Itis the same product your doctor will prescribe but in a smaller dose. Doctors normally prescribe a 250 mg pill. Azo is something like 50 mg but if it's really bad take 5.
See your Doctor soon just in case.
I got this information from my Doctor during the only bladder infection I have ever had.

You need to go to the doctor it can spread to your kidneys which can cause a lot of problems. For tonight you can drink cranberry juice and buy some over the counter analgesic called uristat. They have it at the drug store.

You MUST go to a doctor. Tonight get some cranberry juice and drink it because it might help a little bit. But if you get worse you MUST go to a doctor as you probably need pills.

Go and get AZO original from a cvs or wallgreens, this is the only thing that helps besides antibiotics, you do have to go to a dr because if the infection goes to your kindneys it can cause failure or septicemia (infxn of the blood)!
