I just have one little spot under my chin that needs shaving. A few isoloate hairs on my cheeks that don't become evident until a week without shaving. The hair under my arms is there, but is much less than there should be. I also notice that it's always been hard to grow muscle and that my body looks a little underformed. I have OCD, so my parents dismiss this, but I get flack from friends all the time for my youthfulness. Bars have denied me even after showing them an id...I truly believe there is a chemical/genetic problem. I have dirty blonde/brown hair, so I'm not one of those people with hair so light, it's undetectable facially. I went to an endocrinologist about a year ago and he agreed that I liked very young, but my testosterone tests came back normal, as did the others. Has anybody here come across such a phenomenon before or know anybody with similar symptoms. I'd post a pic, but I don't see anyway to, plus I'm hesitant to post one in front of strangers.

To whomever said not to worry, you also didn't have to shave much at 22, when did you start to have to shave? Also, what ethnicity are you and what color is your hair? I'm asking because these are relevant questions, I believe. Anyone who says that I should be grateful for not having to shave doesn't understand that I feel embarassed for looking like I'm still a high schooler. If not for this, I believe I'd be a handsome guy.

There isn't anybody in my family that I know to have no discernable facial hair at my age. It's also that I have hardly an under arm hair, though the hair I have under my arm has been there for a good five years. I have pubic hair, but it seems that the farther up my body, the less hair there is, that is until you reach the top. At least I'm not balding. I also have a very young looking body with less muscle definition that one would expect. Looks a bit like somebody started going through puberty and stopped a third of the way through.

Also, if you're unsure of how to answer this question, do you know of a website that allows users to ask questions that are attended to in a timely fashion? Thanks.

Some people are naturally less hairy than others.

Plus men are still maturing until age 25.
My husband developed a lot of facial hair between ages 22 to 25.
You are worrying too much, once your testosterone came back normal, everything is ok.
What kind of body type do the rest of your family have?
There are 3 basic types.
Just eat healthy ,get regular exercise and let nature take its course.
Relax. If you are really going on about it maybe you need to see a doctor about your anxiety.
I wish you the best.

After doing a bit of research I have realized that there could be very many reasons for what you describe as a slowing down of secondary male sex characteristics. The body is very complex when it comes to hormones which control its developement. I dont want to feed into your tendancy to ruminate by giving you more things to think about. It would be virtually impossible for anyone including a doctor to make a diagnosis over the web.
I will tell you that your diet- being underweight or having an eating disorder, the amount of sleep and light you get and extreme prolonged stress , pollutants etc. may all have an effect.

Are you under extreme stress? Is your OCD being treated properly? See a doctor, or just try and relax and wait a bit. Any girl worthwhile will like you for you and not the way you look.
Just out of curiosity, what about your voice?

I am eleven, and i haven't started my period yet and i'm hoping I not ever will. Anyway, I got my first bra when I was 9! I desired one on the grounds that every body else had one, besides me. I wouldn't have hair beneath my hands but it just scares me to believe about hair underneath my fingers. Your daughter is going via puberty or in other phrases: growing up. I'm developing up too, and i don't like it at all and i hate the phrase puberty seeing that it appears like puke and i hate the pew sound. She's not a little bit lady anymore, she's a preteen similar to me.

it could be that your parents or someone in your genetic line was a late shaver. Just be thankful and not worry about it. It will happen, just enjoy not shaving while you can.

Trust me, there is no problem. You just are not a hairy guy, but that can change as you get older.....I sure did and have to shave daily....don't worry about it.
