I agree w/lil Danca that abstinence is the best way, but the use of condoms is a proven method of reducing hiv/aids. Look at Thailand, which has drastically reduced rates through education and massive public distribution of condoms. If you're going to have sex, be safe!

No I don't think it is the solution. I think that it helps very little but it's not the solution. The solution would be having people tested and making sure that they don't have it and treated asap if they do. It's very sad how quickly that is spreading. Pregnant woman have to get checked twice now before they give birth because of how much AIDS is spreading. They say that is mostly young kids that is spreading it because of how much their experimenting and not knowing what their doing. More education, and manditory tests would help more better than just giving out condoms.

The only 100% solution is to have sex with only one person, after you are married and for the rest of your life. Isn`t it funny that the rules put down in the 10 commandments thousands of years ago to help the Hebrews live properly would be effective in eliminating aids.

Nope. Mathmatically speaking, if condoms block it in 99% of cases, 1 in a 100 will get it. So if you assume that half the people in the world have sex once per year, your talking around 30 million potential exposures. Except, that most people have sex more then once per year.

According to what research I have done, the actual virus, is smaller than the pores in a condom.
So my personal opinion the only way to be safe is to keep your pants on.
But I have a problem doing that myself, however as of July i am still hiv free.

nope
the best solution would have been years ago to have manditory testing for everyone world wide - if you rounded up every one with AIDS and sent them to live in Australia (large island) having already relocated all Australians.. then that would have been the end of it
