Can somebody older please tell me because I've always wondered since I was about 12?
I asked my parents, but they said they don't remember.

Yeah I know computers and electronic devices have been around for a long time. I'm middle aged and I can't remember a time before them. My parents are in their 70s, and they have trouble recalling the time before computers.

By the way, computers have been with us a long time. Before electronic computers, there were mechanical "computers." Before that, women who performed calculations were called "computers."
