Most 3-month-olds weigh 10-25 pounds, so 12-15 would be a healthy weight.

That really varies from baby to baby. I believe my son weighed about 12 pounds. He's 4 1/2 months & was weighed at the doctor last week & he weighs 17 1/2 pounds.

my 3 month old son weighs about 14 or 15 pounds the doctors said thats fine. Because he has a heart murmer and the more weight he gains the better for his heart to heal. So I am gussing around 13 or 14 pounds. AS long as he loos healthy don't worry.

oh boy, i am trying to rememebr now, i think the health nurse told me that they should double birth weight by 6 months old. every kid is different though. both my boys are in the 25% on the charts. (canadian) as far as thier weight and size goes. They are just small boys. My first son was 8.1lbs at birth and weighed 16lbs, at his 6 month check up.

doctors say that the average child should gain anywhere from a half a pound, to one pound per week after birth. so lets say your baby was born at 7lbs, and now he/she is three months old. he should weigh anywhere from 12-16 pounds.

Our pediatrician told us babies should gain 2 lbs each month for the 1st 3 months, and then gain 1 lb each month after that...when you see the pediatrician he/she will tell you if your son is doing well with the weight gain.

Add about 3lbs to his birth weight. It also depends on the parents sizes. Hope this helps and God Bless.
