I missed most of the season premier last night but in the part I saw it appeared that Alicia had died, can someone catch me up?

the man in the black hat was a cult leader from 1930's and with mind control convinced all his followers to die with him ,he became stronger and needed to pick a weak person to posses .He had told Alicia that she would be punished for wishing her brother dead,if she crossed over. That made her the weak person.

She died but was scared to cross over. She also felt really guilty because for a millisecond she had wished she was alive and her brother was dead instead. She felt that she couldn't cross over until she had her brother's forgiveness. She was still scared but at the end of the episode she did cross over.

What happened to her as in how did she die or why she didn't cross over? She was killed when the plane hit her car and the others have explained about her crossing over. Hope this helped.

first off-her name was andrea--and by the end of the show melinda was able to help her cross over and she reconnected with her brother before she did cross over

I wish they hadn't killed her off. Why would they do that? I thought she was a strong and much needed character for the show. I really like the show, but wish they hadn't done that.

She did infact die. But she couldn't cross over, something to do with her brother. But she eventually did.
