I took a home pregnancy test and it was a store brand one. a dollar store one. The result window wasn't as dark as the control window. It wasn't too faded but it was a lighter shade of blue. It was negative but i missed my period and that is unusual and before i was supposed to get my period, i got like a mucousy light brown discharge on the toilet paper so that worried me. I am not stressing though so does anyone know why?? or is it normal?

You should have at least gone to the drug store. Check the experation date on the box...It's probably at least 6 months old if not older and it's been sitting on a shelf all that time. It's lost it's effectiveness. Next time unlock your wallet a bit because you're not getting quality products at the dollar store and a pregnancy test is not something you want to skimp on...SHESSH

the result window can be lighter than the control window. that is not unusual. what is unusual is that you missed your period. i would try to retest with a different brand. try ept or fact plus. if it still negative wait a week, retest and if you still don't have your period go see a dr.

I took a preg test and the second line was really light. I took 2 more and they were teh same. It turned out I was pregnant. Good Luck!!
