i have a panasonic dvd recorder with a harddrive that will not record my recorded shows to dvd...because it says "not enough space on dubbing destination".....i can record shows in XP,SP,or EP...and i use xp......i dont understand because 1 recorded movie will not fit???? the dvds im using are dvd-r and thats the correct dvds to use with the recorder.....whats the largest capacity dvd-r available??? should i use dvd-ram????

Double-check the amount of recording time & compression- try recording somthing short (like 15 minues long) as a test. If that doesn't work, I suspect the DVD drive on the recorder might not be working properly and requires repair/replacement.

Definitely use DVD-R (not DVD-RAM or DVD+R) if you want to read the DVD you're burning in most DVD players.

All DVD recorables have the same capacity, 4.7GB. At XP the recording time is limited to 1hr. Are you sure your movie is less than one hour long? If it isn't, you have to use SP or EP. Don't use DVD ram if you want to play those movies on a DVD player.
