The Dr. if you need to go that way and nasal sprays are the most effective, they actually prevent the allergens from getting into your lungs. The Chinese have a rinse they use made from water, a little salt and baking soda. You can try this by using an eyedropper and rinsing your nasal passages out as needed. It can prevent allergens too. Then there is the vacuum often and keep things out of the house that you know you are allergic to. Like cats, dogs, flowers, keep windows closed and filter air through air conditioner which you have to keep clean too.
lots of work to prevent allergies.
If this doesn't work you may need medication and you can try over the counters first, tried and true ones that used to be RX only like Tavist D, benadryl can make you sleepy at night only, or go to the Dr. good luck!

Go to the doctor and tell him your symptoms, they might offer a presciption or you can ask for a shot that lasts for about 30 days. If you can't get the doctor and your suffering, go to pharmacy and ask Pharmacist for advice according to your symptoms. An over the counter med like Allerest, Benedryl, and Alavert work well and cost alot less than a doctor visit or a presciption. Good luck.
