I did some volunteer time at the Veterans' Outreach Center. I helped the outreach technician set up boths at fairs & car shows. Fun stuff.

I've done some volenteering, most recently with my local chapter of Food Not Bombs serving free vegan and vegetarian food to anyone in need, also spreading the word about global starvation.
And it's extremely rewarding work.

Well. This sounds kind of corny, BUT volunteering is very fun. To me, at least. I dont know of any site, or anything, but you just have to look for small festivals or community get togethers. My aunt works with Cummins, and she is always helping out and i go with her...always so much fun.
So all i can say really is--dont be shy and just get out there and have fun!
(like i said, kind of corny)

I once volunteered at a new library that opened in the community. It was very rewarding.
