It would probably be better to wait, instead of trying to get it the first day. I would wait until they get all the bugs out and the price drops a little.

The 400.000 number that Sony put out for the u.s.a is only the first shipment that will be coming to the u.s.a. If you don't pre-order then you might be out of luck, but the option of the Nintendo Wii and the huge price tag for the PS3, and the expected drop in price of the 360 could have Sony in some trouble come november. Sony still Say's that they will have over 4 million units out by the end of march 2007, so if you don't get one right away then you may have to wait till December to get one.

Line up early or try to get a pre-order in. With Sony's expected shortages, you may be out of luck for quite a while if you don't get one right away. Good luck!

Have a good amount of money saved! A lot of people get them first to sale them at a higher price! Be there when it happens.

Wherever you go, most likely, you'll need to camp out for any new system that they're not taking reserves for. Make sure, though, that you do reserve some games, though, because they will go like hot cakes. Good luck getting one :)
