windows kept coming up saying i dont have the right thing downloaded, but a week ago it worked fine. i used microsoft media center so what do i have to download to get it to work agian? thanks alot.

you might have missing video and audio codecs.
download and install K-Lite Codec Pack Standard 2.77

this might solve your problem.

I'd insure 'codecs' are updated for the Windows Media Player through the Windows Download pages.
To save yourself some time, before you go looking for updated codecs, perhaps you might want to check the settings in the WindowsMediaPlayer OPTIONs. It gets confusing with so many variables, tabs & selections, but it could also be that your DVD is in bad shape or the 'region' may be wrong. So many questionable settings & so many options & usually it's merely one very little thing. Sometimes a disk in the tower merely needs to be 'rebooted'/'restarted'. Keep trying & you'll eventually learn that we can never know all the answers. Just keep experimenting & check your accesories for other means such as Power DVD Player or perhaps your Real Player is set as default...the lists go on....& ON!

I have Windows Media Player, Real Player and PowerDVD on my computer. Try downloading either of the last two and see if they work.

Download PowerDVD for u computer or just play it through windows media player, or real player.

you can try downloading nero express,or you can try windows media player,but you may have to reset your settings
