Re: Beer. Kegs or barrels of beer are kept in cool cellars under the bar. Draft beer is drawn from these barrels. It's not really warm, but cellar temperature. We learned long ago that this is the best temperature to savour the flavour properly. (How's that? Two U words in one sentence.)

Brits make believe that they get along with the French
Yanks think that the Brits make good TV shows, but the Brits watch CSI and South Park just like Yanks do.
Brits don't put enough ice in their drinks. Yanks put too much.

The one thing I'll never understand is the Brits drink warm beer. Is that really true, and if so, WHY? That is just so wrong. Hopefully I have been misinformed.

We do not drink warm beer. I understand that in the USA the liquids masquerading as beer are excessively chilled. Ugh!
