Absolutely.
Because for every fan who has a clue about how to throw a ball, there's about 3 idiots who don't, and they inevitably clock a 90-year-old lady or an infant in the back of the head.
If you really don't want the ball, publicly place it into a trash can, and make a scene of it. You could just give the ball to some little kid who doesn't know the difference, or if you see a fan wearing the other team's colors, nicely hand it to them.

With the SINGULAR exception of Wrigley Field in Chicago, YES anyone throwing ANY object onto the playing field should be ejected.
The only reason for excepting the Cubs fans is the simple long standing tradition.

No they should not be ejected from the stadium, if they throw the ball in while the hitter is rounding the bases. If they wait until until another ball is in play, it's bye-bye.

No. It is part of the game. If a player cannot handle his homerun ball being thrown back onto the field, he shouldn't be in the batter's box.

No way. . .it's been a fan tradition in baseball to have the right to throw the ball back. . .just make sure nobody throws batteries. . .that's where the real problem lies (thank you mets fans). =^)

Is this a real question. If they don't throw it back they will get booed out of the stadium.

Yes, I've seen it many a times. You can actually get kicked out for throwing ANYTHING on the field.

If its permissible in the rules of MLB baseball, then they have every right to. If your not allowed to in MLB rules, you should be thrown out. now, doesn anyone know if mlb rules speciefically address this?
