Log into your Router, and turn on the Wireless Security setting. Generate the Passcode, and enter this into your computer's wireless connection. (write it down).

Secure your router with a password. If you use windows XP go to help and look under home wireless network! Also, you may go to CNET's site and search for securing your home wireless network.

Go in your router's setting. Change your SSID and password, after that, in your wireless network access, restrict all access. (Make sure your house's network pc are ALL on before setting restrict access). After that, there'll probably got a list showing your house's pc(s) are online. The IP address and MAC address will be shown. Type in your house's pc(s) MAC addess in your access list. It means other pc can't access your network except your house's pc(s).

OMG---You're not MY neighbor, are you? I have been using your wireless network connection. I didn't think it would hurt anybody. Doesn't it just slow everything down for you if I'm downloading something huge? (Which I don't do, because that would be plain rude and unhospitable.)

I assume you mean via WiFi. You can set up a key that's needed to login and limit access to your router to certain MAC addresses.
Look in the manual for your router to see how to do this.
