Sure I would recommend all 3 of them! There is great special effects and they mixed some education about dinosaurs in to the movies!

I can enthusiastically recommend Jurassic Park, but not The Lost World (Jurassic Park 2). There were too many inconsistencies and stupidities in the second movie for it to be enjoyable. Example: In the first film, we are told that Tyrannosaurs hunt by tracking motion and that if you stay absolutely still, they can't see you. Unlikely as that sounds, they contradict it in the second film, where we are told that T. Rexes hunt by scent. This is hard to swallow when you notice that the ethologist who tells the other characters this tidbit of animal behavior then spends the rest of the day wearing a shirt soaked with blood from a young Tyrannosaur. How stupid can an "expert" be and still remain believable as an "expert"?
In addition, the top-notch mercenaries guarding the expedition show a complete disregard for standard security procedures. When one guard has to pee, he simply wanders off into the brush on his own and gets eaten by a herd of compsagnathuses. Haven't these people ever heard of taking a buddy along when you leave camp? Or of at least letting someone know that you are going out for a few minutes? How can we take these characters seriously if they ignore the very minimum standards of their supposed professions? I call this "lazy writers' syndrome" and it irritates me to the point that it kills the movie for me.
Or maybe I'm just too picky. Still, sorry, I can't help it.
OTOH, the third movie was wonderful again, if only for the pterosaurs.

Jurassic Park is a classic. Jurassic park went all the way to part three. Pulling in big bucks. Yes, I would recommend Jurassic Park. Jurassic Park had funny parts and sad parts. Kept you guessing and screaming at the screen for the people to run and stop being stupid. I would tell the person to buy it.

I would recommend the first one because it is classic! The graphics depicting the dinos alongside John Williams' amazing score make it so magical, it makes you wonder if a theme park like this is possible. And yes, it is suspenseful and very entertaining. "The Lost World" is also really good, but it lacks that spark from the first. Since Spielberg didn't direct the third, it shows. The third one is a bit weak (just a lot of running around and screaming). Go check out the first. It rocks!

The first one is the best. I would recommend it to someone who had never seen it before but suggest you watch it in a dark room with a subwoofer and put a glass of water on a table. After you see the movie, read the book. Movie would have been R if completely based on the novel.

No, I would not recommend this movie. It was too hokey. I like romantic comedy or drama way more than dinosaurs gone wild.

No for language, violence and precocious child actors. Yes for funny and occasionally smart dialogue, nice landscapes and, naturally, the dinosaurs themselves.

No, I believe the movies are dumb. (Why would I endorse something I think is dumb?)
The movies are well made and look very realistic (thank to Spielberg)
