Several things could factor in to not being able to sleep. Waking up late will affect your sleep pattern the next night. I found that the best way to promote sleep is of course waking up early in morning, regular exercise, proper diet (watch caffene intake) puts you on a level playing field to have a good night sleep. However, tryptophan (ingredent in turkey and milk) is sold over the counter, benatryl, deep breathing and other relaxtion techniques can also be helpful. Goodnight...

That will vary .try these things . During the day early in the morning megadose with b12in particular and b vitamins in general . If you dont have b12 you wont have enough serotonin at night plus the b vitamins will give you a clean non buzzy energy during the day . Gaba at night , melatonin at night or 5htp .at night.I have tried valerian but have valerian hang overs.(none of this should be construed as medical advice just opinion)Newbold's suggestion that B12 is a mood stabilizer is echoed by recent research in which oral megadoses of methylcobalamin – the most bioactive form of B12 – has shown promise as a regulator of disturbed sleep-wake rhythms. Methylcobalamin has been particularly well-studied in Japan as a treatment for delayed sleep phase syndrome; that is, not being able to fall asleep until very late at night and needing to sleep in every morning. Because sleep-wake disturbances are part and parcel of most mood disorders, B12's apparent sleep-wake regulatory effect could help account for its mood-stabilizing benefits.

If you cannot sleep rather than resorting to the drug method. Get out of bed do something around the house or take a walk. Read a book or watch some tv eventually your brain will shut down. Sub-contiously you are still thinking about things.

I drink Celestial Seasonings Sleepytime Extra Tea and sometimes take Tylenol PM.

What does this have to do with computer and internet security though?

If you are not allergic try Benadryl its an antihistamine that doctors sometimes recommend to help sleep. Warm milk contains tryptophane which also can help you get to sleep.

It depends how old you are. If your young try drinking a chamomile
tea, there is one brand called Sleepy Time. It relaxes you and helps you fall asleep.
If your a little older you should try melatonin, this is all natural.
When we are young our brains secrete this when it gets dark to help us sleep. As we get older our bodies make less and less.
Do you eat well and get enough exercise too? Check out;

A walk.

Or try reading, along with a nice cup of hot tea.

"Sleepy Time" tea is really good, and will help relax you.
