i have been living at my elderly mother house watching out for her but latly its been hard staying in the house so i've been staying with my girlfriend but still checking in on mother at her house which i have been using as my legal residence now a supervisiior at work is claiming that this is not my legal address no longer and the updated information i gave is no longer a legal address and that i am lying on this updated info. form and can result in termination of my job but at any time i can still sleep at my mother house where all my mail goes to and where i vote at etc. etc.

There is no way for him to "prove" that it isn't your legal address. According to the US Post Office and the DMV, your mother's address is your legal residence. He cannot tell you where you do and don't reside, and it cannot affect your job status. Quietly remind him of this and let it go from your stand point. If he decides to pursue, warn him of a wrongful termination lawsuit and start looking for a new job. The only way he could prove that you are living with your girlfriend at a home that is not the one listed is if he were to have you followed for a year and see that you weren't staying at your mother's for three consecutive months. And even then it would be a tough (and can we say EXPENSIVE) maneuver, probably still leaving him in the wrong. Employers generally only use your address of residence to verify identity, perform a background check and to mail company information such as your pay stub.

As long as your mother’s address is still a legal mailing address and you can receive mail there, it is fine.

Say that is your permanent address. It is your legal address. It's the address on your driver's license, right?
