I'm not sure why, but that happens to me.
I guess the CD player in cars can't recognized the info on burnt CD-R's and CD-RW's.

You might be burning the CD as an MP3 list and not for CD players.

bc some car cd players have a laser that dont read burnt cds

I dunno.
When I play burned CD's in the car,they play,but at very crappy quality.

may be u got yhe bit rate all wrong.

normal cds have a bit rate of 128 at 44000 hz or sumthing like that. so when u burn u need to set the bit rate first so that normal cd player can read it.

at least that is what i do... trial & error.

Some machines won't play cd read/writes.

Its either the wrong format, or you're burning them as mp3's. All cd drives don't read them.

dnt know but that happened to me with my frnds car and the car cd player scratched them too :(

on some programs you have to finalize the cd's or they won't play. in Roxio you have to finalize them. in Window's Media Player you don't.

you could be leaving it on data recording or MP recording. Instead make sure you select music recording.
That would be my guess.
