I plan to go to a pharmacy school after I graduated from college (biochem, BA). But I am not sure what kind of work pharmacists have to do!

My sister in law is a pharmacist and she enjoys the work for the most part. She works in a hospital in/near Vail, Colorado. She loves the location and makes enough to have fun skiing and the like.

The basic job is:
Receive perscriptions
Fill them
Answer questions about the medicine

There are other things you have to worry about/do.
Depending on the quality of the place you work at, you may have to keep tabs on whether someone is taking drugs that interact together and cause problems. Better places keep track in a computer all the meds and will automatically warn if 2 drugs are bad together.

The worst part, she says, is those people who expect you to forget everything else and immediately help them. NOW. Because they must be more important then anyone else in the world.

The better the school and your grades there, the better job/pay you can earn. You can work anywhere from a small clinin on a native american reservation to big city pharacies or hospitals.

You also have to continually keep updated on new drugs. Their effects, what do they do, etc..

It is just like being a doctor, but with only short contacts with the patients. They expect you to make everything right and it is your fault if something doesn't work.

obviously, you're a christian that has experienced the stupidity of a fellow chrisitan. you recognize the adaptation between both, so per chance you're fishing for certain responses. My reaction is basic, the religion concerns plenty below the guy. even although i'm no longer a believer of any faith i understand solid and individuals of various distinct faiths, or maybe of no faith. all of it boils all the way down to the guy, and how that distinct is perceived can extremely be protected for the time of all similar human beings by making use of those who're distinct, be it religions, cultures, nationalities, epidermis colour, ethnicity, social or economic type, in spite of.
