My wife and I went through this in the 80's. My best advice is to do what we did. Have a giant garage sale and sell EVERYTHING but your car. Take the cash, get in the car and just go. Stop at places that appeal to you. Somewhere along the way you will stumble upon a job and the adventure will never end. We ended up in a wonderful place, now have great grown kids and we never would have been where we are today had we stayed put. Good Luck.

I've been there. When I was 19 I was living in New England. The job situation was horrible. Prices were just starting to increase. I moved to Ohio and I love it here (except for the weather). You have nothing to lose by making a change... you can always return. The independence will free you however you may end up starting over which is good and bad. Do you have a specific destination in mind? Do you (like I had) have family or friends to stay with for a few weeks to find a job and then build up your finances? Do you have a cushion for savings that will help tide you over until you find employment, apartment, etc??? These are all things to consider because you are starting out and starting over. Just remember that the East and West Coasts of the USA are very expensive to live in. I think the Midwest has the best cost of living. It is amazing how things work out when you want them to but Dorothy said it best in "The Wizard of Oz," when she quoted, "there's noplace like home." You can always return home but watch out for the witches and flying monkeys.

Damn dude, life is too short. Find a job, and start making some money. Jobs can work around your schedule. Don't use your brother as an excuse. You say you are chubby? Lose some weight. Join a gym and do cardio and eventually add weight training. Save up money and move out. Tell your parents you are gay when you are financially independent and have a place of your own. If your parents love you, they will understand. Get some confidence. Know that you are worth it. Guys won't want a nervous wreck. Losing weight would help you feel better and look better as well. I believe in you.

Find out what your interested in and try to make a living at it. You can go to school and pretty much study anything nowadays. Research online and maybe find a school out of state that offers an education in what you want to do. Don't get caught up in the nonsense that goes on in the D - eventually you will be the one laughing all the way to the bank while others you know are still "hanging out"...doing nothing with their lives.

No indication if you are in school or want work or what. Hard to answer. Blue collar mining employment is hard but booming out west. Florida has jobs in retail and tourism, etc.

lol, the Philippines are great, but the job opportunities there are not.
At 19, I'd recommend you choose a good school, in a different state that sounds interesting to you, and go for it.
