I'm an 8th grade teacher and I see this all the time. My students are buddy buddy in the 8th grade and then they go to high school and everything goes stupid. You need to talk to your friends and explain what you feel. You can't keep friends that don't want to keep you. If they decide to move on it doesn't matter how hard you try to keep them around, they'll move on. Losing this friendship is not the iceberg that sunk the Titanic. Yes, it may seem horrible to you now, but in time you will make new friends and just about when you get settled you will go to college and things will change again. Don't make yourself feel bad because of this. 9 out of 10 says it's not your fault. It's just something that happens.

This is all completely normal. While you may be moving in different directions there will always be a bond of past friendship and memories. It is sad but that is what happens as you grow. The many different classes and schedules will put you around different people. Especially different lunch periods. Don't be afraid to grow and widen your circle of friends out.

High school changes a lot of people, your just finding out who you really are, and finding out who your real friends are. Middle school is mainly about goofing off and getting away with practically anything. A way yo keep your friendship safe, try finding things your all interested in, and doind things together. Like movies, sports, clubs, whatever ya'll find fun! (except for drugs and drinking, those may seem fun, but they really aren't. they'll just rip your friendship apart, trust me)
