How technical do you want to get? How picky are you? You are referring to two units. One might be a force or a mass, the other is definitely mass. About units, grams is mass in SI and other metric units. Pounds is force and slugs is mass in British gravitational units. Pounds mass is mass and pounds force is force in English engineering or American engineering units. There are other units as well.

Pounds is weight or force, grams is mass. There is no equivalence.

If you mean how many pounds does 5 grams weigh? - then some of the answers above are ok
