I am very proud African American young lady, I am educated and wise enough to realize that your question, and a lot of the responces are very racist and stereotypical. I am not loud, yet I have noticed because I do go to a dominantly asian school in a white neighborhood, that alot of different people are very loud, especially when they are speaking in their native language, yet no one has commented on that? I find it very irritating and rude when someone is screaming at the top of their lungs only because they are speaking in their native languages, yet they are sitting next to each other, and they can't speak at a normal tone! Anyway, to answer your question, black woman are generally stereotyped as being loud because people can 1) Understand the language in which they speak as oppose to most foreigners that speak extreamly loud, asians, hispanics, europeans, ect. 2) Most people are intimidated when they see a beautiful young black woman that can expresss her mind, and is not afraid to do so, or to bite her tongue in order to please other people. 3) Maybe you are not listening and you should "shut up and listen" to what someone else has to say. You might learn to not be ignorant and racist and accept other people for who they are. I have herd all races ESPECIALLY ASIANS very loud on the busses after school (I go to Bayside High School in Queens New York) Q16, Q28, and the girls that come by my job with their designer purses and prep uniform skirts either rolled up, or their uniform pants rolled down to show their underwear, are also very loud, yet im not making stereotypical comments like all white girls are sluts and whores right? Everyone is different and you have to learn to judge people on their character, NOT by the color of their skin.

Some women are loud at inappropriate times. It may seem to you that it is because they are Black, but it isn't. There are other reasons. You should ask women who are loud where they should be quiet are loud. I imagine it has something to do with the need for attention and lack of consideration for others.

All people are loud! Will you people stop with the "black women" questions? Why does everyone pick on us? I haven't done anything to people and yet I'm ugly, dumb, a whore, loud-mouthed, etc. Your question even sounds like it means all Black women. And the fact you're noticing skin color whenever a person does something might suggest you have a bias!

Coming from a loud mouth black woman it is not because we do it on purpose (well I don't). Everyone in my family is loud so you have to learn how to talk loud to be heard. I am west indian and in that culture sometimes they speak loud and abrupt. It is cultural just like how young white girls giggle loudly and laugh stupidly. It's cultural.

Not all of them are loud, depends if they are educated, or of a different level.

No. You are not being racist. It's funny just because one judges a certain group one is labeled racist.

People do not like a BEHAVIOR or LACK OF MANNERS in a certain group, like if they are loud, noisy, or cut in front of you on purpose w/out please or thank you.

Because they have big beautiful booming voices. Remember, it takes all sorts to make up this world. My mother speaks loud and it's because she has a hearing problem.

It has nothing to do with their being black and everything to do with their being tactless. I see a rainbow of colors that are flawed with this.
