Anyone thinks that gas prices nowadays has to do with "Supply and Demand" must be stupid. It is an old dead economical theory from the past.. Yes, it supposed to be this way, but politics can control anything these days. Normally, "Supply and Demand" theory takes two weeks to take effect on economy. But we are seeing gas prices drop every two days drastically. It is a business decision by OPEC over night. Bush has a big influence on it. No, I am not retarded. I studied international economics and I can challenge anyone.

The Oil Companies and the speculators definitely do not want more democrats in Congress. So they're massaging the price of oil down ahead of the elections. You'll see it'll stay fairly low until after Christmas, so shopping will be good. Then they'll be some excuse and boom prices will take off again.

No all Americans are not stupid, just the voters!

Not really, election is coming.

What is strange is that oil prices are still fairly high, yet gas prices are down. $63/barrell translates to $2.00/gal here. Three months ago, $63/barrell fetched a measley $2.70/gal here.

Price gouging? REPUBLICAN CONGRESS says no. Dumb Democrats hate helping the people of this nation pay their bills, pay for college, pay for healthcare, etc.

Well, that could certainly be true...they will do all they can to sway the election if they don't outright steal it again...and Bush is an oil man and friend of Saudis.

Someone just posted this link on another site about peak oil crisis...enjoy the prices while we can..who knows what is ahead. I got gas for $1.99 a gallon today...and happily filled it up.

significant deflation of our financial gadget has brought about expenditures regularly to fall. it rather is not any longer stable for our usa, because it rather is a consequence of an significant loss of jobs, meaning much less earnings line with ca pita meaning much less money for gas. much less people commuting to paintings. it is likewise in step with on the same time as the gas expenditures skyrocketed; people ultimately have been given on-board with conservation and being greater desirable reserved on the same time because it consists of utilising. we've additionally drilled offshore an significant quantity on concern that Bush became as against paintings, and those oil factors have merely greater desirable to the various aspects.

Wait for Karl Rove's "October Surprise".

Don't buy it for a second. $2.49 a gallon is not a bargain. Remember 3 years ago it was about 1.39? We are being yo-yo'd up and down year after year with these prices. It's all designed to make us content with paying high prices. They will go back up to $3.00+ /gal. A war with Iran could make oil as high as $200+ per barrel. Think about $6.00/gal gas.

Fight the Globalists now or forever hold your peace.

They raise the prices to a point where we are all freaking out, then drop them half way to where they were before. We are so relieved that we barely notice that gas just went up 50 cents a gallon!

It isn't about elections. it is about trying to get iran to play ball the american way. there is plenty of american oil out there, we're just not using it. why should we use up our natural resources when we can use somone else's. then when they get low or have a crisis, who will they turn to? us, the great ol' us of a. it is about power and who has the bigger d**k.this country has always been about forcing people to our will.when we had better presidents, it worked out ok, usually. not always.politics is about power, not people. we will be lulled in to a false sense of security, then we will get shafted.i want to know what needs to be done so i can take a horse and buggy on the highway.
