Well, they're not going to drive you to a special dinner in a limousine after you tell them that, that's for sure...however, honesty is just simply the very best policy. Telling them how you feel is fair to them and to you. It's more unfair to leave somoene believing there is more than there truly is.
Good luck!

Honestly? What in the world do you think? I honestly find these kinds of questions a waste of time. If someone told you they didn't love YOU anymore, how would YOU react? It's silly to ponder this question when you know that if this person still has feelings for you, they will be hurt.

Do they still love you? Did you see "You've got mail" There is scene in there where meg Ryan breaks up with her boyfrend a bit in the same way. It is ideal because neither one loved the other. If he still loves you he will be mad and hurt but he will eventually get over it. He will move on and find someone else to love. But DO NOT feel sorry for him and make up things that are not true just to appease him. Do have compassion and tell him he will find someone perfect for himself to love. Leave him alone and don't answer his phone calls. Do not lead him on and do not try to be a friend. It will only make things very uncomfortable. You are doing everybody a favor by just letting him go. He will find someone right for him and so will you. Don't expect him to call you, though. Just move on.

Well it depends on if they still love you. If they do then they'd be really sad and will react badly. If they don't love you either, they might feel a lil bad but atleast that person feels the same way as you.

They'll react depending on how hurtful it will be and on the kind of person they are. Some will cry, others will go ranting, still some will have the guts to ask why, and others may punch you on the nose or worse.

probably a bit shocked..that would be like telling my husband i didn't want to be married anymore...you need to give a reason ya know...it would be kind of wierd to hear "i dont love you any more" and that would be it...don't you think? Oh wait, you're asking the question.

They could be any of these:
A. be really sad
B. get angry
C. be happy - because they couldn't figure out how to tell YOU that they didn't love you either
D. be confused
E. be completely devastated
F. get suspicious
G. become desperate to make things work again
H. slap you, scream and then cry
I. laugh - they think you're joking
J. wonder where they went wrong
Depends on the person.
But I'd be very pissed.
...very pissed.
EDIT: I didn't realize that me & someone above me had almost identical ways of answering...this is the second time in one night...

that is never true. deep down you love them in some way, just maybe not the way you used to. they will be sad and eventually will find someone else. Just tell them you don't love them the same way anymore.

It's according to if they still love you in the way they use too. Maybe your love has deminished because they backed off to let it. I done that once because a bf was too posessive, it worked. He broke up, I said okay, and he tried to take it back but I said " No, if it was enough to mention then we should split up and see what happens." We never got back together.

My friend reacted by getting a divorce. I think there are better ways to describe that feeling. (Lost interest, don't feel as close, wondering about the relationship...) Good luck.
