i own a repair shop,,and its very possible that the oil filter housing gasket is leaking on it or the oil filter its self,,another thing too that will cause it is the old gasket may not have come off with the old filter,,i had one in the shop with a cracked housing on it,,and that was very unusual for a KIA,,re-check and look for the things i mentioned ,,id say you,ll find it,,good luck i hope this help,s.

Did you make sure the old gasket came off with the old oil filter? if not it will leak.

it can only be one of two things. either it is not tight enough or the gasket from the old filter is still there. If you still have access to the old filter check to see if the gasket is on it.

make sure the filter is on tight.( hand tight only ) if you are sure that its from the housing then its possible that the gasket from the mount is the reason . good luck.
