Hair probably won't grow where the scar is, but the surrounding areas will have enough hair to cover it if you decide to grow a beard. There are OTC preparations that can minimize scarring, or maybe a dermatologist can help. The worst case scenario will be that you'll still have to shave around the scar if you don't want a beard or a five-o'clock shadow.

It is probable but not certain that hair won't grow on the scar tissue. Still unless it is very wide, the rest of your beard should cover the gap.
It is further possible that if hair does grow, it could be white over the scar tissue.

My chins been split open twice. Hair will not grow on a scar, but it will cover it up.

I have a scar on my chin, and the longer the hair around the scar grows, it covers up the scar on my chin. So depending on if the folicals around the scar are damaged, will depend on how it grows.

I would say no, because, did you ever notice when someone gets a scar on their head, no hair grows there??

Most likely no, because of the follicle damage and scar tissue. Sorry!
