Since the engine is hard starting when hot, and starts easily when cool it could be two problems. 1 Causing it to lose power and 2 Hard to turn over when hot. One probelm that can cause both is overheating, the pistons grow to big and start sticking, when they cool off vroom vroom! Look at the header pipe is it blue all the way down to the bottom of the bike? That would be a sure sign of overheating. Another place to look could be a too lean carb, but you say it starts easily so I won't put too much stock in that idea. Check your oil level and make sure you use a motorcycle oil not car oil. In that bike in a warm climate you should be just fine with a 20w50. With out seeing the bike that's my best guess. Good Luck

As mentioned, it could be an electrical problem, or it could be a compression problem.

Do a cranking compression test on each cylinder. You should have at least 120 psi (probably higher, I don't have a manual on the KZ), and all cylinders should read within 10 psi of each other. If you have one cylinder reading low, or all of them reading below 100 psi, then it's time for boring and new pistons.

If the compression test is good, then try installing new spark plugs. Take the bike for a ride, and when it dies, remove one plug (leave your gloves on), and check for spark. Do the same to all the plugs. If it's ignition, you will see one or all plugs with no spark.

These are the two most probable reasons, but there are many others - you'll need to do these two tests to narrow it down.

Hope this helps.

sure it is; I mean whilst people initiate gaining awareness of to fly helicopters they do no longer initiate out in somewhat mini newbie's helicopter, it rather is without postpone into the seat of the particular concern. yet, commencing out on a motorbike of that length is a foul concept, it rather is a classic bike even yet it rather is nevertheless plenty efficient adequate and that's a rapid thank you to get your self into problems. The bike itself is a small area of the expenses, you have even have been given to pay for coverage, training and kit, and you will possibly choose to take a place in a sequence of Givi panniers in some unspecified time sooner or later too. you will drop this bike - it is not if, it rather is whilst. regardless of in case you holiday heavily and don't come to any harm, i will ninety 9.9% assure you will drop the damn concern going around a nook at 5mph or because you parked up on a opposite camber. If it rather is a actual good purchase, then purchase it and keep it on the same time as you study to holiday on somewhat one hundred twenty five or 250 hack bike.

Sounds like... your carbs need an adjustment. Get a gauge and adjust. Also, you might want to look into your ignition, if the coil is failing once it heats up, it could be shorting out until it cools.
