Run spyware... You can use the Norton Version provided by the Yahoo toolbar, or go download a version from the net! Run it atleast once a day!

BTW 30SECONDS2MARS rocks!

I had the very same issue on my old desktop. I reinstalled the operating system and it still had the problem, and I have no idea how to change it. I have a new computer now but you may need to save important applications and documents on an external hard drive or something and install a new hard drive. That should work, but it might be too technical. I suggest you take it in somewhere and ask about it.

You may need to look in your programs menu for something that installed itself without you knowing. Go to the start menu and choose control panel. When you get there go to add or remove programs and look through the list for anything that doesn't belong there. If you scanned your computer recently it would have picked up on something that strong. If you can't find something that way reset your computer to a date prior to the beginning of your problem. I had a trojan that was taking me straight to a spyware programs site and that was the only I could get rid of it. After I rest my computer I was able to scan and get it out.

Actually what you have is malware/type trojan i recommend you follow these steps to keep your computer clean: First go to

to this link it will help you download the AVG antivirus which is very good for free and recommended by Maximum Pc magazine
Also update to latest defenition

http://free.grisoft.com/doc/2/lng/us/tpl/v5

later you will need a good spyware remover go to this link for Spybot Search and Destroy pick one of the mirror websites and download and update them

http://www.spybot.info/en/mirrors/index.html

get a good adware remover go to this website:
for Lavasoft Adaware remover downlaod and update

go to Download.com and type this in exactly:

Lavasoft Ad-Aware SE Personal Edition 1.06

it should give you the link to download it.

Also get a good firewall:

get zonealarm is 100 times better than microsoft windows firewall:

http://www.zonelabs.com/store/content/company/products/znalm/freeDownload.jsp?dc=12bms&ctry=US&lang=en

oh and heres the wierdest software that i thought was a gimmick until i tried it i got a recommendation from Maximum PC Magazine to test this software to see if i can expose my problem to the constant viruses i had even with an antivirus did you know that a virus or a trojan can convert itself in a rootkit that can install itself without you knowing and antiviruses go over it without detection Rootkits are deep within windows really deep so deep that one change can destroy a windows computer so a virus loves to be here to uncover any viruses go to this link for this software called FSecure Blacklight Rootkit Eliminator

https://europe.f-secure.com/exclude/blacklight/index.shtml
and click one the first button for the GUI interface its better

Later and last but not least get rid of internet explorer it is useless with all the viruses today get MOZILLA FIREFOX
WHICH IS 100 TIMES MORE SECURE THAN INTERNET EXPLORER
to download mozilla firefox browser go to

www.mozilla.com and download the Mozilla Firefox browser

hope this helps:)

Yes, it's spyware or adware. I've had things come up like that make me crazy. Do you have Spybot? It's the best I've found for removing that stuff. Go to www.cnet.com you can search for it in their download section. It's free!
