It goes both ways. I have a friend you only dates/likes dark skin blk women. I told him this is wrong and blk people comes in all colors.
I also think for men it's OK to be dark skinned because most women find it sexy. But for women to be dark skinned it's not accepted in our culture as much.
I think you should just love the skin that your in. God made u that way for a reason, and God does not make mistakes.
OH and yes every blk person has. (even light skin.)

I believe that is still a problem... I am black however, I am mixed and I happen to have a caramel complexion, I have cousins who are extremely fair skin and some who are latin and they make me feel like I am so ugly because I am dark compared to them.
People believe that the darker you are the uglier you are and that is not fair because I have some cousins who are really fair skin and ugly as hell. They think that they are beautiful because they are light skin. Too me what makes a person beautiful is the features, the attitude and just being humble.. Don't worry the darker you are the better you age. People with extremly fair skin tend to look alot older...

Unfortunately this myth of white skin being the preferred tone is an undercurrent of ethnic problems worldwide.
Some blame it on racism in the US but it goes much deeper as Indian and Pakistani communities suffer from this malady. They hate the natural darkness of thier skintone and have dozens of products to lighten it.
I think it is disturbing because God's creation is an such diverse splendour I don't see why we can't just enjoy the patchwork of different skin shades that he has created.
Personally, I'm more attracted to darker Indian and Pakistani women than the lighter skinned ones. :)
As far as African, Jamaican, Hatian and African-American women are concerned there are some hue differences, but they are all beautiful. :)

Sad to say, I'm lighter and my sister is dark skinned. I messed w/ her when I was younger. We've over come that point in our lives where we're loving to one another. But I can't help but think I had a impact on her life. For years she only dated white men( that's ok in my book, I've only dated them too) I don't know if I had anything to do w/ it but I still wonder sometimes
