This is in response to a question I asked about Bush's lack of response on 9/11. Do people actually think leaving in a polite way would traumatize children, or is that a smokescreen cop-out for not being able to think? I've left classrooms hundreds of times without causing emotional injury, and yes, I've been a principal. Never a President. I don't see how being President excuses him from, for example, standing up. Praying in the President's claimed faith involves head bowed, eyes closed. So, he wasn't praying. I've seen him do that. What was he doing?

I think a person in this postion should politely excuse themself--stating I need to go, I am sorry for the hurry. This should not take 7 minutes!

Again I ask: With all that happened on that horrible day, all you choose to focus on is a single man's reaction to shocking news?

I am sorry, but as much as I despise GW, I think we need to move on and find other things to focus on. If this is so upsetting to you, maybe you need to ask the man himself. Because none of us know the reason he reacted the way he did, and I don't think anyone should pretend to know.
